Winning a scholarship enabled him to study abroad at the Berklee College of Music, from where he graduated in 2006. Subsequently, he moved to New York, studying under the renowned pianist, Masabumi Kikuchi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Upon returning to Japan in 2009, he joined the Sadao Watanabe Band, serving from 2010 to 2016. Currently, he is a part of various musical ensembles, such as the Banksia Trio, which he leads (alongside Masaki Hayashi and Shun Ishiwaka), Sadao Watanabe Quartet, Kosuke Mine Quartet, Tamao Honda Trio, and Michiyo Yagi Trio. His international portfolio includes performances at many prestigious jazz festivals, including Tokyo Jazz, Detroit (US), Montreux (Switzerland), Brisbane (Australia), Moers (Germany), and Hong Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">In recent years, his versatility is on display with a wide variety of projects like creating and performing music for the Audi A5 new car launch in 2017, crafting a solo piece for the Okamoto Taro Memorial Museum&#8217;s exhibit &#8220;Japanese Primal Scene&#8221; in 2019, and contributing improvised performances to the play &#8220;The Tale of Heike&#8221; featuring Ai Kaneko. His recording credits include contributions to Kenshi Yonezu&#8217;s &#8220;Yumeutsutsu&#8221; and Mari Natsuki&#8217;s &#8220;TOKYO JUNK BOOGIE&#8221;.
